Job summary

SAP in Palo Alto is seeking an early‑career Data and Applied Scientist to help build the semantic foundation for SAP's AI agents. You’ll work with senior scientists and engineers to ground AI solutions in enterprise data, master data, and domain relationships across core business processes.

You’ll contribute to RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge grounding, using data from SAP and partner systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, math, stats, engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the semantic and contextual foundation of SAP's AI.
• Work with senior scientists to build scalable AI layers.
• Develop AI solutions using enterprise data, knowledge graphs, and data assets.
• Learn SAP's data models and process context across core business domains.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate challenges into AI solutions.
• Apply ML and statistical modeling to enterprise datasets.
