Job summary

The Carlyle Group is seeking a Senior Analyst, Forward Deployed Product Engineer, Global Private Equity Technology, to design and deliver business-critical GPE applications. You will build features end-to-end across backend, frontend, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows, partnering with Deal Teams, Fund Management, and GPE teams to drive automation and measurable value.

You will prototype quickly, production-ize effective solutions, and ensure governance and security standards are met while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (CS/Engineering or related field preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building applications using Python.
• Frontend development experience with React/Next.js is preferred.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; enterprise data platforms like Snowflake preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features and components of GPE applications from design to production.
• Develop full-stack functionality with Python on the backend and React/Next.js on the frontend.
• Create APIs, services, and data pipelines connecting data platforms and internal systems.
• Prototype quickly against real data and harden into production-ready software.
• Follow team standards for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to learn workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Deliver AI-enabled functionality (LLM-assisted workflows and RAG pipelines).
• Participate in governance, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
