Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Research Engineer to explore what our models and products can do, prove it with real customers, and enable the Applied AI team to sell and deliver it. You will embed with product teams to develop expertise on new capabilities as they emerge and provide critical feedback to shape the roadmap.

You'll own the technical GTM handshake for model launches: testing, field readiness, and ongoing capability education, while building demos and evals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar technical role.
• Deep technical problems and translating learning into materials, training, or tools.
• Strong programming language proficiency.
• Meaningful experience with large language models and production integration.
• Experience designing evals, building prototypes, and enabling others.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams to build deep technical expertise and serve as field expert.
• Own the technical GTM handshake for model and product launches, including testing and readiness.
• Build demos, evals, and prototypes to showcase capabilities.
• Develop enablement materials like playbooks and trainings in partnership with Technical Enablement.
• Engage with strategic customers to solve novel challenges and synthesize learnings for broader use.
• Synthesize insights to inform product and research roadmaps; identify adoption blockers.
• Partner with Sales and Applied AI to support high-value accounts; travel to customer sites occasionally.
