Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager for the Research team to own ideation and deployment of frontier AI models and products, collaborating with research to productize applied work and identify high-potential use cases grounded in customer needs.

You will translate complex research into practical requirements, guide strategy, and drive cross‑functional initiatives with engineering and platform teams, shaping safe, beneficial AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years in product management, with experience launching new products and scaling existing ones (founder background is a plus).
• Are a first-principles thinker with the ability to navigate ambiguity and simplify complex problems.
• Possess a deep technical background with AI/ML concepts and working proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Have strong user empathy and the ability to translate feedback into priorities.
• Have a track record of launching ambitious products with distribution or commercial success.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of frontier technologies leveraging AI to solve real-world problems.
• Partner with research to define, improve, and ship model capabilities within a research area.
• Identify nascent research that could become transformative products.
• Synthesize user insights into actionable requirements and evaluations.
• Understand the AI landscape and market capabilities to position Anthropic effectively.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including research, product engineering, and platform engineering teams.
