Job summary

Finch is hiring a Technical Staff Member to own critical features end-to-end in a fast-evolving full-stack AI product. You will work directly with product, operations, and design in a codebase where your decisions matter from day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building reliable, secure software in production with ownership across the stack.
• Experience shipping AI-powered products or agents beyond prototypes.
• Experience designing practical evals and using them to improve task completion quality.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort with React, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks.
• Strong instincts for agent design including context, model choice, tool boundaries, outputs, and human handoffs.
• Track record turning ambiguous real-world workflows into simple, dependable systems.
• Experimental mindset: move quickly, measure what matters, focus on correct completion over cleverness.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end features for Finch's agent systems and workflows.
• Ship fast and collaborate with product, operations, and design.
• Build production-grade voice, browser, document, and workflow agents for personal injury cases.
• Design long-horizon agent architectures with context, tools, memory, and permissions.
• Develop eval flywheels by turning real cases into benchmarks for quality.
• Improve performance via model routing, context engineering, and observability.
• Ensure reliability across calls, documents, portals, and changing case data.
