Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in California is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build and deploy AI applications that improve commercial performance—quoting, pricing, contract review, and forecasting. You will partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver data-driven decisions embedded in daily workflows.

The role requires 2+ years AI/ML experience, 3–6 years in apps development, and strong Databricks, SQL, and Python skills. Willingness to travel within LA/OC is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 3–6 years developing complex applications.
• 2+ years of AI/ML experience.
• CRM/CPQ experience preferred.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, evaluation frameworks and AI observability.
• Manufacturing analytics and quality analytics background.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI use cases with cross-functional leaders.
• Build AI-enabled applications using Databricks embedded in workflows.
• Integrate data across CRM, CPQ, ERP and contract systems.
• Lead end-to-end pilots and drive user adoption.
• Ensure governance and compliance (ITAR/DFARS/AS9100).
• Measure impact on revenue, margin and forecast.
