Job summary

Shultz Steel LLC is seeking an Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design and deploy practical AI solutions that improve quoting, pricing, forecast accuracy, and capacity planning. You will build Databricks-based AI apps embedded in daily workflows and collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT to drive tangible business outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of AI/ML experience and strong Python/SQL skills, with hands-on work connecting CRM/CPQ and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• 3–6 years developing complex applications.
• 2+ years AI/ML experience.
• Experience with CRM/CPQ systems preferred.
• Experience with vector databases and AI observability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI use cases for analysis, summarization, and action recommendation.
• Build AI-enabled applications using Databricks embedded in commercial workflows.
• Integrate data across CRM, CPQ, ERP, and contract systems.
• Lead pilots end-to-end from design to launch to sustainment.
• Report measurable improvements in revenue, margin, and forecast performance.
