Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Senior AI Application Developer to design, develop, deploy, and sustain AI-enabled applications across manufacturing sites, blending software engineering with practical manufacturing know-how.

You will work with Databricks, Python-based frameworks, APIs, and AI models, travel up to 30%, and partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, data science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software development, application engineering, full-stack development, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience delivering production applications.
• Experience with data-driven or AI-enabled applications preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, or operations environments preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple sites with independent initiative.
• Strong product mindset focused on user adoption and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled applications and workflows for manufacturing and business ops.
• Develop apps using Databricks Apps and enterprise data platform.
• Build AI agents and AI-assisted workflows to automate analysis and support decisions.
• Integrate REST APIs, model endpoints, data services, large language models into production apps.
• Create reusable components, services, templates to accelerate development across sites.
• Write maintainable, production-quality code with Git, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Monitor and improve reliability, usability, and performance of applications.
• Work with manufacturing sites to understand processes and data sources.
• Translate business problems into well-defined AI requirements.
• Own solutions through full lifecycle with measurable success criteria.
• Validate outputs against live operating conditions.
