Fanatics in New York City is hiring a full-time Applied AI Engineer to join a small, senior team that embeds with business functions. You will identify the biggest bottlenecks, replace slow manual work with AI agents and workflows, and drive production-grade solutions that scale across the company.

This role offers real autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to help Fanatics become leaner, faster, and more automated. Prior startup or fast-growth AI delivery is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in applied AI or software engineering.
• Track record building and deploying custom agents or agentic workflows with frontier LLMs.
• Fluency with AI stack: LLM APIs, MCP, agent frameworks and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Embed within business functions to identify bottlenecks and automate using AI agents.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade agents and agentic workflows.
• Move fast from concept to solution with measurable ROI.
• Collaborate with leaders to rethink teams in an AI-first way.
• Document wins and share best practices across Fanatics.
