interface.ai is hiring an Applied AI Engineer, Business Automation in San Francisco. You will own the in-house automation platform, building workflows that connect AI tools, data, and business systems to drive productivity across teams.

You will work directly with founders and cross-functional partners to deliver scalable automations. We seek a senior engineer with 3+ years of SWE experience and strong AI/LLM skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience at SWE II / Senior level, with production systems you built and owned.
• Strong applied AI/LLM engineering: experience with tool use, context and retrieval, prompt design, evaluations, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and build the in-house business automation platform, connecting AI tools to business systems.
• Translate business rules and edge cases into workflow logic with clear human review when needed.
• Ensure production quality, security, monitoring, and adoption across teams.
• Evaluate and evolve the tech stack, tools, and integrations to maximize productivity.
