Job summary

Trades Workforce Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer / CNC Applications Technician for the Pacific Northwest, based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. You will provide on-site support, installation, and training for high-precision tooling and CNC equipment.

You will travel regularly to customer sites, deliver hands-on demonstrations, and maintain service records in CRM systems. Full product training is provided, with a competitive salary and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, applications, or technical support in CNC machining or tooling environments.
• Strong understanding of metal cutting, CNC equipment, tooling systems, and machining processes.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites for installation, training, and support.
• Ability to train customers and deliver technical presentations confidently.
• Engineering degree is advantageous but not required.

• Provide technical support across a range of high-precision tooling products and machining accessories to distributors and end users across the Pacific Northwest region.
• Plan and deliver hands-on training sessions for sales teams, distributors, and end users.
• Perform on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of equipment.
• Provide high-level customer support, including troubleshooting and responding to technical inquiries via phone and on-site.
• Maintain accurate service records in CRM systems and support trade shows, demonstrations, and customer-facing events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a field service, applications, or technical support role within CNC machining, metal cutting, precision tooling, or machine tool environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of metal cutting, CNC equipment, tooling systems, and machining processes, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites for installation, training, and technical support.
• Ability to train customers and deliver technical presentations confidently.
• A degree in an engineering discipline is advantageous but not required.
