BayCare Clinic Corporate Headquarters in Green Bay, WI is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This full-time role operates standard hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with no holidays or weekends. Strong collaboration with internal and external teams is essential to design, implement, and maintain enterprise applications that support clinical and business processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CIS, MIS, IT, or business discipline strongly desired.
  • 2+ years previous IT experience required, preferably supporting clinical applications.
  • Extensive experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge of hardware, software, and peripheral applications in healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL, enterprise software systems, and process automation.
  • Experience supporting specialty clinical applications or software preferred.
  • Understanding of project management concepts and principles.
  • ServiceNow experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and collaborates with internal and external teams on design and implementation of clinical or business enterprise applications by analyzing requirements and reviewing system capabilities.
  • Completes level 2 support and upgrades for supported applications and systems.
  • Designs, implements, administers, and documents system configurations and dependencies.
  • Facilitates end-to-end testing and documentation to ensure proper performance and alignment with business and clinical initiatives.
  • Defines current and future state workflows to support changes to applications and systems.
  • Ensures disaster recovery planning and testing is completed for systems and applications.
  • Collaborates with product owners on contingency plans and release management.
  • Manages project lifecycle from requirements to post go-live support.

We’re looking for a detail oriented, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This role is full time, between our core hours, Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No Holidays! No Weekends!

The Job:

  • Leads and collaborates, by partnering with internal and external teams, on the design and implementation of clinical or business enterprise applications by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, and reviewing system capabilities.
  • Completes level 2 support and all upgrades for supported applications and systems.
  • Designs, implements, administers, and documents system configurations and dependencies.
  • Facilitates end-to-end testing (test plan creation, testing scenario creation, regression testing, UAT testing) and documentation for supported applications, systems, and projects to ensure proper performance, functionality, and optimization benefits as to align IT with practical business and clinical initiatives as well as for operational improvements.
  • Facilitates current and future state system and functional work‑flow definition and documentation as needed to support changes to applications and systems.
  • Assures disaster recovery plan for the system and application has been completed and tested.
  • Works with product owners to assure system contingency plans are developed.
  • Reviews release notes and analyzes implications. Conducts updates for release management cycles and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Implements and manages all aspects of the project management lifecycle to include requirements, scope, task management, time management, testing, stakeholder approval, and post go‑live support.
  • Facilitates project communication between internal, external, and IT customers.
  • Works with key stakeholders and partners with teams to identify issues, opportunities, recommend technology projects and initiatives, improve processes, automate manual work, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency while complying with IT standards.
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting of issues by working independently or with business or clinical users, vendors, and internal resources to resolve them.
  • Manages incidents and requests in the appropriate timeframes based on the SLA guidelines of the IT department.
  • Utilizes knowledge, analytical skills, and diagnostic skills and reacts in an agile way to resolve application or technical issues and works with internal or external resources to resolve those issues as needed.
  • Provides comprehensive, continuous assistance for designated applications, from its initial design and deployment through to ongoing maintenance, workflow management, monitoring, and eventual decommission. Ensuring the application remains stable, secure, and aligned with business goals throughout its lifecycle.
  • Develops full understanding of end-to-end business workflow's and processes and provides guidance for continual process improvement.
  • Collects, organizes, and manipulates complex data to determine trends, problems, changes, and areas to improve processes and operations, and to resolve issues.
  • Expected to independently handle multiple competing initiatives, elevate issues effectively and respond to changes in priorities.
  • Accurately documents all support calls and change controls for application and system maintenance.
  • Embraces change and is comfortable challenging and suggesting process improvements.
  • Develops and communicates application security policies and standards.
  • Acts as a liaison for internal customers, external business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Remains knowledgeable of emerging technologies and vendor and industry trends, practices, and innovations.
  • Provides training for other personnel as needed.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CIS, MIS, IT, other technology-related major, or business discipline strongly desired.
  • 2+ years previous IT experience required, preferably supporting clinical applications.
  • Extensive experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge and technical aptitude of current hardware, software, and peripheral applications in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL, enterprise software systems, and process automation.
  • Previous experience supporting specialty clinical applications or software preferred. Non-clinical application experience will be considered.
  • Understands multiple systems or technologies and their interaction with other systems and short-or long-term impact.
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment where new subject matter is learned and quickly put into practice.
  • Understanding of project management concepts and principles.
  • ServiceNow experience is a plus.
  • High degree of analytical skills, self‑motivated, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to make decisions, develop approaches to solve complex technical and business problems, bringing resolution through analysis and consideration of relevant facts.
