A healthcare services organization is seeking an Application Analyst II to act as a clinical liaison within the Corporate IS Department. This role involves duties related to implementation, training, support, and maintenance of the clinical information system. Candidates should have experience with Cerner and a background in patient care. Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of related experience required.
  • Prior Cerner experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum two years of direct patient care experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years of direct patient care experience preferred. Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred.
  • Mentoring/leadership experience. Ability to collaborate with clinicians to discern software specifications, hardware requirements, and workflow improvement.
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills of computers, laptops, networks, and peripherals (printers, microphones, scanners, etc.) desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and management of clinical applications.
  • Perform system testing and documentation for application development lifecycle.
  • Research and resolve Customer Support Center tickets.
  • Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.
  • Performs Q/A on application functionality.
  • Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center tickets.
  • Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
  • Assists with the training of users in operating procedures for the application.
  • Coordinates project team member activities to achieve common objectives.
  • Monitors project plans, tracks status, issues, and progress in conjunction with a project manager.
  • Researches and resolves Customer Support Center tickets, including major application upgrades.
  • Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management policies.
  • Provides on‑call support as scheduled.
  • Establishes and maintains regular communications with the user community.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Prepares and submits status reports to supervisor as required.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, and problems.
  • Performs other tasks as required by management.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst II-BH Clinical Systems.

The Application Analyst II-BH Clinical Systems acts as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the BH facility, performing duties related to implementation, training, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information system. The role includes basic computer troubleshooting, problem tracking, resolution, enhancement requests, active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management, and ongoing Cerner education for facility employees and physicians.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides ongoing support and management of clinical applications
  • Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop or modify system specifications.
  • Supports the implementations of applications and prepares appropriate documentation.
  • Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • 2 years of completed college coursework toward a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a behavioral health facility, including nurse unit/dept, therapies, and intake. Prior Cerner experience is required.
  • Minimum two years of direct patient care experience preferred. Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred.

Hospital or Healthcare facility experience preferred. Clinical and Application Knowledge preferred.

Travel Requirements

Up to 40% regional travel (depending on projects).
