Job summary

Department: Enterprise Corporate – Patient Flow Applications
Status: Full time

Schedule Details: Leads teams supporting a portfolio of solutions including Epic Grand Central, Transfer Center, Clinical Case Management, and Utilization Management. Collaborative work with customers to support overall patient movement and capacity goals.
Pay Range: $75.40 – $120.65

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and operate applications within scope, documenting and evaluating current systems and recommending improvements.
• Design and interface applications to meet user needs while ensuring information is maintained, accessible, and integrated for providers and users.
• Serve as the primary contact for operational leadership in the application area.
• Execute and report on all phases of system applications according to established time frames.
• Communicate progress and plans to users, committees, and affiliates related to system design and project status.
• Consult with users to identify, evaluate, and formulate strategies for improvement opportunities.
• Manage and support changes and enhancements, ensuring proper analysis, testing, change management, and user input processes are followed.
• Assist with management of hardware, software, and consultant contracts and service agreements, and establish vendor relationships.
• Oversee the development, execution, administration, and evaluation of information systems processes to support mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives.
• Perform human resources responsibilities for staff, including interviewing, selection, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and morale.
• Develop and recommend operating and capital budgets, controlling expenditures within approved budget objectives.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to the organization’s Code of Ethical Conduct and compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
7 years of experience in information systems, solution design, systems development, implementation, and installation within a complex environment, including 3 years of project management experience and managing multi‑discipline work teams.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Leadership skills with a proven track record of directing technical staff and financial resources through various system life‑cycle phases.
• Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day‑to‑day management and advanced project management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in information systems operations, regulations, and guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to establish excellent working relationships and strategic partnering with various teams.
• Strong communication skills at all employee levels.
• Understanding of health care delivery and dynamics within a large integrated health care system.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires travel; employees will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job and is exposed to a normal office environment.
