Job description

Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Professional is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Development Operations team. The role is based in Ahmedabad or Hyderabad and involves supporting the Tax & Accounting Professional online products hosted within Thomson Reuters Data Centers and on Amazon Web Services. The engineer will collaborate with Data Center Operations and Development teams to ensure product availability, stability, and performance.

About The Role:

• Implement, deploy, and maintain TRTA Professional online applications.
• Utilize technologies such as Windows and Linux Servers, various databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), application servers (Tomcat, Apache, IIS), and cloud technologies.
• Perform operational tasks including monitoring, backups, application availability, releases, and configuration management.
• Maintain relationships with Data Center and Development staff.
• Drive automation, scripting, documentation, and process improvements.
• Resolve technical issues and respond to alerts from monitoring systems.
• Document system architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of systems administration experience on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• Experience with SDLC and deployment methodologies.
• Support enterprise web applications and understanding of networking concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with storage systems and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Scripting skills in Linux/Unix or Windows are advantageous.
• Technical certifications are beneficial.
