Job summary

Guam Regional Medical City seeks a Director of Applications Support to oversee the daily operations of the Application Support Department and ensure reliable, secure information systems for the hospital.

The Director acts as SME for the EMR, leads system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements, partnering with clinical and operational teams to drive service excellence and align with strategic goals. This role also provides leadership and coaching to the Application Support team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Applications Support Services - Director

The Director of Application Support will oversee the daily operations of the Application Support Department and ensure reliable, secure, and effective performance of the hospital’s information systems.

This role serves as the primary SME for the hospital’s EMR, leading system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements while partnering with clinical and operational departments to develop solutions that meet organizational needs. The position also provides leadership, coaching, and development to Application Support team while driving service excellence, process improvement, and alignment with the hospital’s strategic goals.

Minimum Education

• - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.


• - Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Demonstrated staff management experience, along with interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with all levels of client skills.


• Demonstrated knowledge of strategy development methods and planning concepts. Solid understanding of business planning and financial analysis.


• Demonstrated knowledge of project management and regulatory systems.


• Highly detailed, oriented and precise.


• Excellent organizational/leadership skills. Software proficiency skills are a must along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
