## Applications Specialist IIApplylocations: Municipal Office Towertime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: JR101594**SALARY**$75,711.00 - $94,639.00**JOB SUMMARY**Under general supervision, the Application Specialist II independently administers and enhances enterprise applications, serving as the primary technical resource for assigned systems. This role will lead complex system configurations, integrations, and solution delivery, ensure application reliability, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The position provides advanced user support, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvement of applications to meet organizational needs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Acts as primary application administrator for assigned enterprise applications, performing advanced support, configuration, maintenance, and system administration.* Independently troubleshoots complex application issues, leads resolution efforts, and ensures timely and complete documentation.* Monitors system performance and proactively identifies and resolves issues to improve reliability and efficiency.* Designs, configures, and maintains application features using configuration tools and coding, following established standards.* Designs and implements system integrations and data interfaces; supports the full integration lifecycle including testing and optimization.* Develops and maintains complex reports and dashboards; ensures data accuracy and usability.* Independently gathers, analyzes, and refines business requirements; translates them into effective technical solutions.* Leads or participates in SDLC activities, including solution design, testing, implementation, and validation of system changes.* Leads evaluation, testing, and deployment of application enhancements, patches, and upgrades.* Serves as primary technical contact for assigned systems; collaborates with stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.* Provides advanced user support, develops training materials, and promotes adoption of system capabilities.* Creates and maintains detailed system documentation, including configurations and data flows.* Coordinates with vendors and external partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements.* Identifies opportunities for system optimization and implement improvements.* Provides guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Serves as technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and initiatives.* Acquires and apply knowledge of new applications, technologies, and processes to support customer needs.* Acts as alternate system administrator for designated systems as assigned.* Participates in team activities such as peer reviews and collaborative problem-solving.* Participates in the on-call support rotation.* On a nontypical basis, may perform other additional duties not listed in this description that are in alignment with the scope of essential job functions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required* Knowledge of enterprise application administration, configuration, and support.* Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.* Knowledge of programming procedures, techniques, and languages.* Knowledge of integrations, APIs, and system interoperability.* Knowledge of data structures in relational databases and SaaS platforms.* Knowledge of system configuration, reporting tools, and data management concepts.* Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and practices.* Knowledge of IT security standards and practices.* Skill in developing reports, dashboards, and performing data analysis.* Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.* Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.* Ability to independently manage priorities, tasks, and assignments.* Ability to design and implement integrations and scalable technical solutions.* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.* Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.* Ability to quickly learn, understand and document business processes.* Ability to understand and apply network troubleshooting related to enterprise application support.* Ability to coordinate with vendors regarding schedules, requirements, issues, and changes for assigned applications in support of system management, upgrades or enhancements.* Ability to adapt to evolving technology and gain proficiency in new software with minimal supervision.* Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.Qualifying Education and Experience* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business, or other related fields.* 3+ years of experience in applications, software development, or related field.* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* Relevant certification(s) within 12 months of hire based on team assignment.
