Job summary

Trinity Solar is seeking an Applications Specialist to prepare permit, utility and state application packages and track their progress. You will maintain positive relationships with municipalities and related organizations while handling general administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to communicate effectively. Prior permitting or solar administrative experience is a plus, but not required; training is provided.

  • Permitting experience preferred
  • Solar Admin experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare permit, utility and state application packages
  • Assist in compiling information necessary to complete application packages
  • Track progress and update information in database
  • Review and distribute documents and correspondence
  • Perform administrative functions including incoming calls, copying, scanning, emailing, preparing shipments, and filing
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with municipalities and applicable organizations
  • May require permit running

Job description

The Applications Specialist is responsible for preparing permit, utility and state application packages, tracking/recording all applications' progress, and maintaining positive relationships with municipalities and applicable organizations. An ideal candidate for the position will be amiable, detail-oriented, organized, dependable, motivated, and able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepare permit, utility and state application packages
  • Assist in compiling information necessary to complete application packages
  • Track progress and update information in database
  • Review and distribute documents and correspondence
  • Perform administrative functions including but not limited to: incoming calls, copying, scanning, emailing, preparing shipments, and filing
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with municipalities and applicable organizations
  • May require permit running
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in various forms of communication
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Consistent thoroughness/attention to detail
  • Notary Public preferred, but not required
Education and Experience:
  • 1+ year(s) of office experience
  • Permitting experience preferred
  • Solar Admin experience preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
