Job summary

University of Notre Dame's Office of Information Technology is seeking an Application Development Specialist to design, develop, and implement robust integrations. You will collaborate with functional units, analyze business needs, and advise on solutions that maximize ROI, leveraging modern languages and AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.

You will mentor colleagues, define technical requirements, and lead projects across departments in a hybrid work model that combines on-site

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, or related field.
Three+ years professional experience in application development or systems integration.
Familiarity with web development tools (HTML, Java) and SQL databases.
Strong understanding of software development principles and system architecture.
Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end development life cycle for integrations and technical solutions.
Acquire and maintain business and technical expertise; stay current with trends.
Serve as primary relationship owner with departments, providing consulting and technical leadership.
Mentor team members and drive process improvements and best practices.
