Job summary

University of Michigan Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking an Application Developer Senior to join the Infrastructure Information Systems team. You will contribute to service enhancement projects by identifying customer requirements, delineating gaps, and recommending improvements while translating requirements into technical designs.

You will provide daily operations and tier 2 support for applications, coordinating with service groups to resolve incidents, and enhancing systems

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
Experience with designing, developing, and documenting robust APIs to support scalable integrations.
Experience with user interface design and usability best practices.
Experience with database development, including Oracle or similar relational databases.

Responsibilities

Identify and quantify customer requirements, translate them into technical designs and write code solutions.
Develop, deploy and support APIs for integrations with multiple systems.
Provide daily operations and tier 2 support for applications, monitoring availability and performance.
Follow standards and development tools to deliver maintainable software.
