Job summary

Nippon Sanso MATHESON is seeking a Director of Applications Engineering & Projects to lead engineering, application development, and project execution across bulk and specialty gases. You will manage engineers and field service techs, drive equipment design, and coordinate with Sales and Marketing to promote NSM capabilities.

The role requires extensive experience in engineering leadership, strong technical writing, and deep knowledge of the gas industry and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Masters or Engineering Management MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in the industrial gases field or equivalent technical project management experience.
• The candidate must be an experienced engineer and project manager.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills; strong customer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of application engineers and field service technicians.
• Direct application equipment design, manufacturing, and related services.
• Oversee equipment and spare parts inventory planning and cost controls.
• Drive innovation and new product development in collaboration with R&D.
• Coordinate with commercial teams to promote capabilities and proposals.
