Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Skyworks' Applications Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities

• Automating testing with RF instruments
• Automating data extraction from instruments
• Manually testing with RF instruments such as spectrum analyzer or network analyzer
• Analyzing and summarizing data
• Developing presentations based on data
• Comparing performance characteristics of our parts to competitor parts
• Simulating and designing RF networks
• Creating marketing collateral including datasheets or application notes
• Automating creation of design review documents from simulation tools and/or databases

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum GPA of 3.3
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
• Knowledge of programming languages such asPython, SQL, C#
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-Starter with good communication skills
• Ability to summarize and present in an effective manner
• Desire for a career related to RF Engineering

Desired Experience and Skills

• Familiarity with RF simulation (i.e. Keysight Advanced Design System or AWR) preferred
• Preferred coursework includes: transmission line theory, and RF amplifier theory

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
