Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum GPA of 3.3.
• Interest in RF Engineering.
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience.
• Familiarity with circuit simulations and working in a lab.
• Programming knowledge: Python, SQL, C#.
• Ability to summarize and present data effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop automated testing solutions with RF instruments
• RF measurements of device characteristics such as gain, noise, and linearity
• Analyzing and summarizing measurement data
• Develop customer-centric presentations based on measured data
• Comparing performance characteristics of our parts to competitor parts
• Simulating and designing RF matching networks
• Generating marketing collateral including datasheets or application notes
• Reviewing and updating internal and customer product specifications
• Designing RF system level solutions to support industry applications

Skyworks' Applications Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors and Technology & Manufacturing business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

  Required Experience and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a BS, or MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Desire for a career related to RF Engineering
  • Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
  • Familiarity with conducting circuit simulations and working in a lab environment
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, C#
  • Ability to summarize and present in an effective manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  Desired Experience and Skills

  The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
