Job summary

Nextpower is seeking an Application Engineer to support solar inverter and PCS systems in North America. You will work across Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to tailor power conversion solutions for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

The role emphasizes technical expertise in inverters, PCS platforms, electrical systems, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support for power conversion products in utility-scale solar and battery energy storage.
• Support Sales and Technical Sales teams during customer engagements, project development, and technical proposals.
• Review customer requirements, diagrams, interconnection requirements, and product application needs.
• Propose inverter and PCS configurations based on site conditions and project specs.
• Prepare and support technical documentation including compliance matrices and drawings.
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams on product-fit and exceptions.
• Assist with system integration discussions with developers and EPCs.
• Support grid interconnection, controls, and protection discussions.
