Connect-Force is seeking an Applications Engineer in Michigan to join a team focused on converting customer needs into technically sound, commercially competitive solutions. The role blends engineering, manufacturing knowledge, and direct client interaction to craft proposals and select optimal equipment and processes.

The ideal candidate will review RFQs and drawings, collaborate with engineering and sales, and develop compelling proposals with accurate cost estimates for complex manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience reviewing RFQs and technical specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing technical proposals, quotations, estimates, or project scopes.
• Strong communication with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, technical specs, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate applications and determine appropriate equipment, processes, and technical solutions.
• Develop technical concepts and preliminary equipment/process solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, cost estimates, and supporting docs.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, manufacturing, and service teams as projects move from proposal to execution.
• Provide technical support throughout the sales and project-development process.
