Job summary

Sigil Partners, in partnership with a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer, seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to support a Boise, Idaho manufacturing customer. You will be the primary technical liaison in a high-visibility, customer-facing role.

The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of thin-film processing (PVD/CVD/ion beam), strong communication with customers, and collaboration with field service and engineering to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience or Master's with 3+ years.
• Hands-on semiconductor process development and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and ability to work with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite technical liaison between customer and equipment manufacturer.
• Support ion beam processing equipment and related thin-film applications.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot semiconductor processes to improve performance.
• Collaborate with customer engineers, technicians, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct demonstrations, evaluations, and application development activities.
• Establish and maintain BKMs for process control and improvement.
• Coordinate with field service and engineering on equipment issues and upgrades.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and product enhancements.
