Job summary

Infineon Technologies Americas Corp. in Warwick, RI seeks energized students for an internship/trainee role focused on hardware validation and system testing.

You will validate power stage designs on application boards and assist in characterizing VR solutions, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world semiconductor environment. You will work with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and network analyzers, and you’ll contribute to evaluation-board development and reporting to support

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of switching power supply topologies and VR solutions preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SMT soldering and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers).
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools like Altium or OrCAD.
• Strong data organization and reporting skills using Microsoft Office.
• Solid understanding of passive and active components and analog/digital circuits.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability and collaborative work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Validate power stage and control designs on application boards.
• Characterize multiphase VR solutions in line with specs.
• Verify new chipsets and voltage regulator solutions for customer applications.
• Develop and test evaluation boards to ensure system functionality.
• Support hardware setups for measurements and validations.
• Prepare analytical reports from validation and characterization data.
