Veeco’s Phoenix location seeks a technically sound applications engineer to develop new applications and provide process support. You will interface with customers, engineering, marketing, sales and service to drive new product development and enhancements around core technology.

The role focuses on laser anneal tools, performance processes, and BKMs. Travel to the USA and other locations up to 30% is required, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or Engineering with 5+ years related experience; MS with 3 years or PhD with 2 years preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Engage with customers to develop applications and performance processes on laser anneal tools.
• Develop and maintain best known methods (BKM) for process control and development.
• Maintain knowledge of laser anneal system processes, hardware and diagnostics.
• Resolve process problems and escalate to service/engineering when needed.
• Present technical aspects of products to customers and sales channels.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with service, engineering and sales to support revenue goals.
• Participate in regular technical training to stay updated on product lines.
