Veeco Instruments Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a technically sound applications engineer to develop new applications and provide process support for laser anneal tools. This role interfaces with customers, engineering, marketing, sales and service to drive new product opportunities.

The position requires a BS in Materials/Chem/Physics/Engineering with 5+ years (MS 3 years or PhD 2 years preferred). Travel up to 30% is expected, with strong emphasis on communication and problem solving across the

Qualifications

• Semiconductor device knowledge and module process experience
• Understanding of RTP/Implant processes desirable
• Clear communication and strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to develop applications and processes for Laser anneal tools
• Develop and maintain BKMs for process control and development
• Share product knowledge with customers and sales channels
• Provide on-the-job training to team members and customers
• Collaborate with service, engineering, and product lines to meet revenue goals
• Inspect and ensure operational quality of system equipment and train customers on operation and maintenance
