Job summary

Banner Engineering Corp in Minnesota is seeking an Applications Engineer to support the sales team by developing customer solutions using Banner’s hardware products and systems. You will act as technical support focusing on hardware implementation, product selection, system design, and troubleshooting within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in Applications Engineering, technical assistance, product service, sales, or related field.
• Experience in an industrial automation environment.
• Customer-facing or technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation and Banner product portfolio support to sales teams and customers.
• Assist with product selection, hardware implementation and integration.
• Vetting, pricing inquiries, and handling RMA requests with technical issues.
• Document summaries and opportunities in CRM for each case.
• Collaborate with Engineering to support hardware/configuration changes.
• Support proof-of-concept builds and pre-sales evaluations with the team.
• Conduct in-house tests to solve real applications.
• Assist with product training for internal and external audiences, in person and remotely.
