University Operations at the University of Central Florida is seeking an Applications Engineer II (Business Applications) to administer, automate, integrate, and manage lifecycle of enterprise apps. You will ensure reliability and scalability by standardizing processes and developing integrations with business partners and IT teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or equivalent, and hands-on experience with APIs, automation, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience administering enterprise business applications in higher education/public sector/large org.
• Experience with APIs, app integrations, and data exchanges.
• Experience with automation tools, scripting languages, and workflow automation.
• Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL practices, and change management processes.
• Experience supporting application upgrades, deployments, lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and operational support best practices.
• Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support a portfolio of enterprise business applications.
• Manage user access, security roles, scheduled jobs, and application health monitoring.
• Design and maintain automations for routine operational processes such as account provisioning and data transfers.
• Develop, test, and maintain application integrations, APIs, and scripts.
• Support data movement between business applications and university systems.
• Assist with onboarding new applications and uptime reliability initiatives.
• Resolve incidents via ServiceNow; perform root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
