Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Applications Engineer in Twinsburg, OH to support the design and installation of engineered gas systems for specialty and process gas applications. You will partner with the sales team to develop turnkey solutions, present technical proposals, and ensure safe, code-conforming installations.

Experience in mechanical or chemical engineering and 5+ years in sales engineering within gas/chemical industries is desired.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of successful sales engineering experience in specialty gas or process chemical industries.
Experience with process chemicals (e.g. hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, ammonia) is a plus.
Capable of travelling up to approximately 50% (including overnight).
Capable of working weekends/holidays as needed to meet schedules.
Familiar with design and safety codes such as CGA, ASME and NFPA.

Responsibilities

Oversee sales, specification, quotation and installation of equipment systems for specialty gases.
Support Airgas sales team as technical sales specialist for gas solutions.
Develop turnkey engineered solutions and proposals for customers.
Assist in commissioning, start-up and testing of engineered systems.
Coordinate testing and training for customers and installers.
