Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Product/Project Engineer in North America to support gas applications, including oxygen-fuel combustion and decarbonization efforts.

The role is ideally located in Allentown, PA, and involves collaboration with customers, suppliers, and fabricators across multiple disciplines. The engineer will manage quotations, design, and project execution while contributing to standard product packages and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design skills with piping, instrumentation and controls knowledge are required.
• Strong organizational/planning/interpersonal/leadership skills.
• Electrical aptitude is a plus, including familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Knowledge of CAD software for schematic and drawing development (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quotation and project execution of application equipment projects (typical cost range $50k–$500k, some >$1M).
• Design and development of new product equipment offerings.
• Develop standard product design packages for existing equipment offerings.
• Provide technical/engineering support to internal stakeholders and external customers to solve problems or improve operations.
• Participate in the Basic Safety Program to drive safety performance to zero incidents.
• Prepare scope of work documents for proposals detailing system design criteria and installation roles.
