Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a technically driven Applications Engineer to support its Quick Response Center (QRC) network and Valve Automation Business. You will translate complex customer requirements into engineered control valve, actuator, and instrumentation solutions.

You will work with regional sales teams, engineering groups, and QRC operations on technical evaluation, sizing/selection, cost estimations, and order execution for critical severe-service applications.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years hands-on in control valves, automated valves, actuation systems, or flow control equipment.
• Role background: Prior Applications Engineer, Technical Inside Sales, or Sales Support Engineer in flow control.
• Technical skills: Proficiency with sizing/selection software configurators, ERP systems, and technical specification reviews.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and sales support.

Responsibilities

• Technical Sizing & Selection: size, select, configure control valves, actuators, positioners, and automation accessories.
• Proposal & Quotation Development: generate complete technical and commercial proposals from RFQs.
• Sales & Rep Support: act as dedicated technical sales support for regional reps and key accounts.
• Cost Estimation & Pricing: compute pricing based on product cost structures and manufacturing needs.
• Order Review & Execution: finalize order acceptance and engineering verification for plant manufacturing.
