Job summary

Flowserve US Inc in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an Applications Engineer who combines technical depth with commercial acumen to develop solutions for valve automation applications. You will work with sales, development, and other specialists to size, select, and propose controls and actuators for customer needs.

This role focuses on preparing offers, evaluating requests, and supporting clients in the office, with up to 25% travel preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or BA Degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Control Valves, including sizing and selection of the whole set (valve + actuator + accessories).
• Experience calculating pricing based on costs and sourcing solutions in the market.
• Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as inside Sales Representative or Engineer for Automated Valves.

In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications related to Valve Automation Business. You will act as a product specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.

• Sizing and selection of Control Valves, its accessories, and related services
• Evaluation of requests, generation of solution proposals
• Cost calculation, if necessary, in cooperation with the relevant departments
