Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with digital positioners for valve automation and actuators.
• Strong CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to create engineering drawings and technical documentation following drafting and GD&T standards.
• Understanding of pneumatic systems, control valves, or automation packages.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mounting kits for control valves and automated assemblies.
• Create CAD models, drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Support integration of digital positioners, switch boxes, solenoids, and actuators.
• Evaluate field data to develop tailored mounting solutions and install instructions.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams on make-versus-buy decisions.
• Collaborate with Global Technology Engineering Center resources.
• Maintain engineering libraries, drawings, BOMs, and configuration docs.
• Support troubleshooting, field assessments, and customer-facing solutions.
• Participate in site assessments and customer turn-around support.
• Provide technical help for sales and in-house roles for valve accessories.
• Collaborate across Flowserve locations on mounting solutions.

Job description

Flowserve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of valve automation and control valve accessory solutions. This roleis responsible fordesigning and adapting mounting systems for positioners, switch boxes, solenoids, actuators, and related automation hardware across Flowserve and third-party valve platforms.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, field service, supply chain, manufacturing, and global engineering teams to create reliable mounting solutions, support customer applications, and improve automation processes used throughout critical industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mounting kits for control valves and automated valveassemblies.
• Create CAD models, fabrication drawings,schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support integration of digital positioners, switch boxes, solenoids, lockup valves, and pneumatic accessories.
• Evaluate field measurements and develop customized mounting solutions.Organizeandwork with field service toimplementa process for this.Create installation instructions.
• Work with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams on make-versus-buy decisions.
• Collaborate with Global Technology Engineering Center (GTEC) resources.
• Maintainand enhanceengineering libraries, drawings,mountingredesigns,BOMs, and configuration documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related discipline.
