Job summary

TRUMPF, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to perform customer product and production flow demonstrations, time studies, and post-sales customer applications support.

You will also assist with startup and production support after installation. The role requires organizing customer training on programming and operating equipment, collaborating with product centers, and providing feedback for product improvements in bending technology.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree with solid math background.
• Experience with CAD, programming, and machine tool products.
• Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and production software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers.
• Willingness to lift up to 40 lbs and operate forklifts/overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct best-in-class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows.
• Provide customer application and sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutions.
• Perform parts analysis for producibility and time studies and produce customer sample parts.
• Continuously expand technology knowledge by training and testing on the machine.
• Be responsible for the assigned technology in the showroom environment.
• Organize and provide customer product training courses focusing on programming and operating equipment.
• Collaborate with product centers and TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development.
