Job summary

TRUMPF, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to perform customer product and production flow demonstrations, time studies, and post-sales customer applications support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct best-in-class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows.
• Provide customer application and sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutions.
• Perform parts analysis for producibility and time studies and produce customer sample parts.
• Continuously expand technology knowledge by training and testing on the machine.
• Be responsible for the assigned technology in the showroom environment.
• Organize and provide customer product training courses focusing on programming and operating equipment.
• Collaborate with product centers and TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development.

Besides the functional responsibility of applications for customer demos, will also work with customers after installation with startup and production support.Principle Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct best in class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows to increase product sales with a focus on Punching and combination machinesProvide customer application & sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutionsPerform parts analysis for producibility / time studies and produce customer sample partsContinuously excel the technology knowledge by participating in training and testing functions of the machineBe responsible for the assigned technology in the production showroom environmentOrganize and provide customer product training courses with a focus on programming and operating equipmentCollaborate with product centers and other TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development / improvement ideas for existing or new products in the field of bending technologyTravel estimate is 25% as average, with focus in USA, Mexico and CanadaExperienceSheet metal experience and / or TRUMPF product knowledge a plus. Experience with CAD, programming and machine tool product knowledge desired. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and production software systems. Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal are required as this position involves extensive contact with customers and sales representatives.
