Job summary

SSI SCHAEFER is seeking an Applications Engineer in Charlotte, NC or Remote - US to support the sales team by developing automation and intralogistics solutions. You will create system concepts, technical documentation, and proposals that drive successful projects.

The role requires a engineering degree and 2+ years in warehouse automation, with strong analytical and communication skills, plus travel of 10–20% and occasional international training.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop material flow diagrams, process flow charts, and system layouts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Prepare equipment and service cost estimates and develop technical proposals, including system requirements and scope of supply.
• Apply knowledge of distribution processes and automation technologies to design effective customer solutions.

As an Applications Engineer, you will support the sales team by developing innovative warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions that meet customer needs. In this role, you'll combine engineering expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration to create system concepts, technical documentation, and proposals that drive successful projects.

• Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including occasional international travel and training in Europe. Must be able to obtain a passport if required.
