Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Applications Engineer to bridge engineering design and customer requirements, providing technical expertise, product customization, and application support.

The role involves collaborating with sales, design, and production, analyzing specifications, preparing BOMs and reports, and delivering on-site support as needed. Strong CAD skills and customer-facing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or applications engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales, design, and production to understand customer needs and develop tailored mechanical solutions.
• Analyze customer specs and propose configurations and modifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including CAD drawings and BOMs.
• Provide technical support during pre-sale and post-sale stages, including on-site visits.
• Communicate complex technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
