Job summary

MayTec Aluminium Systemtechnik GmbH in Montgomeryville is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer to develop custom designs and create detailed drawings.

Mechanical Applications Engineer

What you will do here:

• Provide pre‑sales support by preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and demonstrating product functionality.
• Assist production and field service with technical issues and support as needed.
• Create drawings in SolidWorks for quotes and work orders. This includes providing customer drawings, layout prints for field techs and answering technical questions on MayTec’s products.
• Use drawings to create BOMs for quotes and work orders.
• Consult and provide technical support on the designs and installation of custom projects.
• Communicate with customers, distributors, management, vendors, and suppliers as required.
• Detail engineering drawings for production and create a library of documents.

The skills and experience that will set you up for success in this role include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Three or more years of progressive engineering design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced design and drafting skills using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently, with attention to detail and problem solving.
