Job summary

Crestron Electronics, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer for the 2nd shift (9am–6pm CST) in Plano, TX. You will provide technical support via phone, email, and chat, applying deep knowledge of Crestron platforms and video conferencing solutions to resolve issues and escalate when needed.

The role requires strong networking, AD/Office 365, Linux familiarity, and programming basics (C#, CSS, HTML5). You’ll interact with customers, document findings, and create knowledgebase articles while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years relevant experience.
• 3+ years installing, configuring, supporting technology.
• Knowledge of Networking (Multicast, Dante, AES67) and Diagnostics.
• Knowledge of Exchange/O365/Active Directory.
• Familiar with Linux OS.
• Programming knowledge in C#, CSS, HTML5 preferred.
• Knowledge of Commercial/Residential Audio/Video tech.
• Read and interpret system schematics and floorplans.
• Document issues, steps, and investigations clearly.
• Clear communication to varied audiences.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Travel up to 10% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer rapport throughout the process.
• Identify specifics of reported problems and collect configurations.
• Review documentation with customer and conferencing provider docs where applicable.
• Perform high level log analysis and basic network checks.
• Create RMAs for customer sites as needed.
• Contribute to Crestron knowledgebase with articles and tools.
• Other duties as required by the role.
