Job summary

Trelleborg Group in Michigan is seeking an Application Engineer to design and develop anti-vibration solutions, create CAD models, and provide expert guidance to customers. You will assess customer needs, propose concepts with specs and costs, perform stress calculations, and ensure manufacturability and product performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar anti-vibration role.
• Strong 3D CAD and detailed technical drawing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer liaison experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enquiries: handle enquiries and manage the process.
• Customer engagement: maintain close communication and provide specification support.
• Concept proposals: create concept proposals with technical specs, costs and manufacturability assessment.
• Performance criteria: perform stress, strain and stiffness calculations and define tests.
• Design solution: design product solutions and chair engineering reviews.
• Application engineering: provide customers with reports detailing product selection.
• Design for cost-effective manufacture: ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Customer focus: deliver high level customer service and respond promptly.
• Guidance and teaching: share knowledge of best design principles.
