Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Applications Engineer to bridge engineering design and customer requirements.

You will deliver technical expertise, tailor solutions for rotating equipment, prepare documentation, and support customers through pre- and post-sale stages. The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years in mechanical/applications engineering, with CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and experience with EPC contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, applications engineering, or project work in rotating equipment industry.
• Experience with EPC contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings.
• Experience bidding and management of industrial equipment projects.
• Familiarity with distribution model and/or industrial equipment sales.
• Experience with rotating equipment product lines and manufacturers, sizing of pumps and rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities
