Advantest America Inc. in Chandler, AZ is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to plan and drive product development for RFQ support, design reviews, and manufacturability.
You will collaborate with Customer, Business Development, Field Service and Sales to define requirements, generate documentation, and guide design with manufacturing teams. The role requires 3 years of design experience, proficiency in Solidworks/PDM and FEA, and strong problem solving and communication skills.

We are looking for proactive individuals with mechanical/thermal/electrical degree engineering background, positive team player attitude who can plan and drive product development. Successful candidates should possess skills in understanding thermal/mechanical applications, products development, solving complex situations/problems, comfortable negotiating with stakeholders and strong verbal/written communication skills.
Must be proficient in Solidworks/PDM & FEA Simulation.
Ability to read and implement GD&T and conduct tolerance stack up analysis using worst case and RSS methods.
Strong skills in problem solving and communication.
Working full time on-site in Chandler, AZ. Ability to travel domestic/international (~30%) and flexibility adjusting work hours when needed.
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and product costing is a plus.
Test socket or interconnect designs.
Understand SI/PI principles and design challenges.
Highly motivated engineer with Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering. Related engineering qualifications will be considered. Master’s degree is a plus.
3 years experience in product design and development. Semiconductor IC package test socket development experience will have strong advantage.
