Thermal/Mechanical Engineer – Chandler, AZ

Department: Pathfinding R&D

Responsibilities

• Determine technology requirements and development strategy.
• Serve as the customer main point of contact on occasion.
• Own and manage projects.
• Drive design completion, provide design inputs, and collaborate with design team or Pathfinding Design Engineers to achieve objectives.
• Create test plans, procure collateral, and conduct test execution (or lead lab team resources when feasible).
• Produce documentation (design rules, key considerations, FMEA, etc.).
• Perform top‑level tolerance analysis, including customer‑facing analyses.
• Hand off projects to Applications, Design, Manufacturing, and QA teams for future success.
• Act as an expert consultant for thermal and mechanical questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, preferably mechanical engineering or related.
• Experience with solid modeling, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Experience designing, specifying, and testing thermal and mechanical systems.
• Hands‑on lab experience, designing and executing test plans or collaborating closely with technicians.
• Experience with simulation tools such as finite element analysis or computational fluid dynamics.
