Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation, a natural gas-only distributor and S&P 500 company headquartered in Dallas, seeks a software/data professional to design, build and test applications. The role focuses on data engineering, ETL processes, and analytics using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms to transform data across systems.

You will collaborate with business partners to document requirements, train users, and monitor performance while exploring emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a CS/IT-related field and 2+ years of software programming experience.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners.
Proficiency with data analysis incl. ratios and basic statistics; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and test software applications; resolve incidents to ensure service integrity.
Transform and synchronize data between systems using integration software.
Document program definitions, requirements and deliverables for stakeholders.
Writes and codes software scripts and applications per specifications.
Run performance tests and monitor software to identify and fix issues.
Prepare reports for management on assignment status.
Train end users on new or modified programs.
Research new application development tools and standards.
Collaborate with external vendors for implementation of software products.
Keep up with advances in languages, tools and client/server tech to support ETL and reporting.
