Atmos Energy Corporation, a leading natural gas distributor headquartered in Dallas, seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise web applications. You will work on PHP/Java stacks, leverage Yii 2, and optimize SQL across Oracle and SQL Server environments.
The role requires 7+ years of hands-on development, RESTful API design, and experience with authentication technologies such as OAuth/SSO; cloud modernization exposure is a plus.

7+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise web applications. Strong proficiency in PHP and Java development. Hands-on experience developing applications using the Yii 2 Framework. Deep expertise in SQL development, query optimization, and database design (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server). Strong understanding of relational database concepts, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services. Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience integrating applications with third-party systems and enterprise services. Familiarity with authentication technologies, SSO, OAuth, Active Directory, LDAP, and role-based access controls. Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root cause analysis. Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments. Experience modernizing legacy applications and participating in cloud migration initiatives is a plus.
Educational/Experience Level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Business or a closely related field and four years of experience in software programming. Communication Skills Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external business partners at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature. Numeric Skills Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods. Computer Skills Requires a very high level of computer skills in order to use various software packages as well as a familiarity with hardware configuration. Need to be proficient in MS Office Tools. Work Conditions Works in an office environment. Position could be subject to work outside of normal business hours. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
