Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation, a leading natural gas distributor headquartered in Dallas, seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise web applications. You will work on PHP/Java stacks, leverage Yii 2, and optimize SQL across Oracle and SQL Server environments.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on development, RESTful API design, and experience with authentication technologies such as OAuth/SSO; cloud modernization exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• : Holds a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of software programming experience as a baseline.
• : Proficient in PHP and Java with enterprise web application experience.
• : Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• : Comfortable designing and consuming RESTful APIs; working knowledge of authentication tech.
• : Familiar with cloud migration initiatives and legacy modernization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development and testing of software applications and resolve incidents to maintain service integrity.
• Consume, transform and update data between systems using integration software.
• Collaborate with business partners to define software needs and specify designs.
• Create documentation including objectives, deliverables, and user specifications.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to developpers and IT staff to ensure SLA attainment.
• Write, translate, and code applications per specifications and end-user requirements.
• Prepare diagrams and infrastructure context for development and analysis.
• Train users on new or modified programs and reporting tools.
• Prepare management reports on assignment status.
• Work independently to stay current with new technologies and best practices.
• Follow IT procedures and maintain proper documentation as required.
