Qualifications

  • One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3, or four years IT experience with two years in applications development or maintenance.
  • Two years IT experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any IT field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any information technology field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met educational requirements within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

This position focuses on developing, maintaining, and supporting applications that serve the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission. It plays a key role in strengthening agency systems and ensuring that technology solutions meet user needs. As an Applications Developer 2, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time, schedule to be established. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office Shippensburg University. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
  • Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are withinthreemonths of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
  • You must pass a background investigationand meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
